They make early-spring movements to shallow areas to spawn, then spread across large ranges to occupy deep rockpiles and humps to feed. It's dominated by rock and shorelines with sheer drop-offs that give way to an abyss of deep open water. The largest Great Lake lays out more like a haven for lake trout than a bass fishery.
